Poon Hill Sunrise Trek is an easy walk of takes you to the hill station of the Annapurna region, offers the amazing sunrise and sunset view from Poon Hills, in the snow clad mountains as well as the panorama of the Himalayas. It is the short trek which provides the chance to experience the Himalayan culture, landscapes as well as the mountain panorama. In this trek you can observe the panorama of the mountains like Annapurna (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), the virgin mountain- Machhapuchhare (fishtail), Annapurna II, III, IV, and Annapurna south, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, etc. you also enjoy the view of world deepest gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri made by Kali Gandaki River, forest of Rhododendron and picturesque ethnic villages with their traditional houses, etc. In this trek, you visit the Ghandruk village, a typical Gurung traditional village where you interact with the Gurung people who are famous as the Gorkha soldier. You get insight into their lifestyle, culture, tradition, and religion.
Poon Hill Sunrise Trek begins after the short scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Then you head to Ghorepani following the bank of the Modi River. You traverse through the dense subtropical forest, rhododendron forest and bamboo bushes, patchwork of valleys, enjoying the beatific high waterfalls and mountain views. In the forest, you see the various birds, playful Langur (black-faced monkey) and enjoy the chirping sound of the birds. From the Poon hill, you observe the dazzling sunset and sunrise view in the mountains. You visit Gurung and Magar villages and enjoy their warm greeting and hospitality. Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is suited for those who have a short holiday and physically weak people and eager to experience the Himalayan nature and culture. The best season to go for the Ghorepani Poon Hill sunrise Trek is autumn and spring when the weather is clear and you can have a clear view of the mountains as well as the natural scenery.
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan international airport (1340m.)
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu and preparation day for trekking
Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara (990m.), explore Pokhara .
Day 04: trek to Tikhedhunga (1491m.), 1 hour drive and 2.3 hours walk
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2855m.), 5/6 hours walk
Day 06: Trek from Ghorepani Poon hill to Tadapani (2540m.), 6/7 hours walk
Day 07: Trek to Ghanddruk (1940m.) and leave Tadapani, 5/6 hours walk
Day 08: Trek to Pokhara (990m.), 5/6 hours walk
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu, 7/8 hours overnight hotel

Day 01: Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be meet by Beyond The Limits Trek Representative, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. B.B.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at the hotel. (B.B.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist deluxe coach private van or by flight it depends on your interest if you like to go by bus 7 hours if you go by private jeep Scorpio then 5 hours if you like to fly 23 minutes. One the way there will be Breakfast & lunch. Pokhara is reached at around 2 pm. After check-in hotel and refreshment, we have time to walk around the Lakeside it is a very nice place and you can visit Davies falls and gupteswor cave. Overnight at the hotel. B.B.
Day 04: We will have our breakfast at 7:00.A.Then drive One to Nayapul by private Car / Van, we then begin the trek to Tikhedhunga. After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues passing through several small villages. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola.
From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hile at 1495m & after the short climb of 25 minutes, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1525m.O/N Lodge
Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
Like the previous day, we will have our breakfast at 7:00 AM then begin our hiking with a steep climb to Ulleri for about 2 hrs. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti for 1 hour & 30 minutes ( 2460m.) After an hour & half walking, we reach Ghorepani at 2775m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 06: Hiking to Poonhill – trek to Ghorepani, and trek to Tadapani.
We will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill before sunrise. From here you will see superb view of the sunrise, and the panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and so on. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast and continue trekking to Tadapani. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk
The day starts with short downhill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Ghandrunk (2000m), which is the village of Gurung people. We have only 3 hrs hiking so we may visit local peoples home, Gurung Museum & watch the documentary prepared by ACAP. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 08: Trek down to Birethanti – Nayapul – Pokhara.
Today we begin our journey, from Ghandruk offering easy walking all downhill to Nayapul for 5 hrs, we then drive to Pokhara for one hour & 20 minutes. Overnight at the hotel. B.L.D.
Day 09: Fly to Kathmandu or Drive back to Kathmandu by car/van or tourist bus Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day10: free from the program.
